Michael S. Hartley, President, PLS

Survey Project Manager

Mr. Hartley is a Professional Land Surveyor and is President of Bedrock Engineering, Inc. His twenty-three years of land surveying experience includes project management of construction staking, topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, aerial photocontrol surveys, and right-of-way engineering projects. Mr. Hartley has extensive experience in managing the surveying components of complex construction projects.

Clovis Community Medical Center – managed construction staking, control surveys, anchor bolt surveys, building and shoring monitoring for the $350 million Phase B expansion project.

Chaffee Zoo Sea Lion Exhibit – Fresno – Bedrock Engineering performed all construction staking for the $10.2 million expansion project for MATT Construction.

CSU Fresno – New University High School campus and new Fresno State Aquatic Center: managed construction staking, control surveys and anchor bolt surveys.

Eurus Energy America / Ryan Company – Avenal: managed control surveys and construction staking for 45 megawatt solar project covering over 500 acres.

New Kerman Elementary School – managed construction staking services for new, ground-up elementary school for general contractor, JTS Construction.

Children’s Hospital of Central California – Madera Campus: compiled all horizontal and vertical photo-control and detailed topographic surveys for engineering design, prepared record mapping for the hospital site and surrounding parcels, and responsible for management of construction staking services on-site and off-site.

Provost & Pritchard, Inc. – Route 168, Segment 6, Fresno: performed research and boundary calculations for 3.1 miles of freeway; managed detailed topographic surveys of specific interchange locations.

VA Central California Health Care System – Fresno Facility: managed topographic survey to facilitate future engineering design and to document as-built locations of all onsite improvements at existing 20 acre medical center.

Local School Districts – Various sites: managed topographic surveys to facilitate engineering design at over 60 school sites within Fresno, Central, Clovis, Mendota, Dinuba and Alpaugh Unified School Districts, Chowchilla Union High School District, State Center Community College District and CSU Fresno.

Various School Sites – Construction staking projects: managed control surveys, anchor bolt surveys and construction staking for various schools, districts, and contractors, including projects at Fresno Unified’s Ayer, Aynesworth, Bethune, Columbia, Ericson, Ewing, Forkner, Greenberg, Manchester GATE, Sunset, Webster, and Wilson Elementary Schools; at Clovis Unified’s Cole and Weldon Elementary Schools; at Madera Unified’s Cesar Chavez Elementary; at Sanger Unified’s Centerville, Lone Star, and John Wash Elementary Schools; at Pleasant View Elementary in Poplar; at Kingsburg, Madera South, Fresno, Hoover, Clovis West, and University High Schools; at California State University, Fresno; and at Willow International Center in Clovis.

Saint Agnes Medical Center – Fresno: performed control surveys and construction staking for 230,000 square foot, $75 million Heart and Vascular Center expansion project.

CMC Parking Structure – Fresno: managed construction staking and concrete floor monitoring surveys for 6-story parking structure.

CMC Medical Office Building – Fresno: managed construction staking and pre-pour and post-pour anchor bolt surveys for 4-story, 93,000 square foot building project.

Cleantech America CalRENEW-1 Site – Mendota: responsible for topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys for 50 acre solar array facility. Prepared legal descriptions and mapping for easements and lease documents, and managed construction staking for rough grading of the site.

SunPower Corporation – Various sites: conducted utility and boundary research, performed topographic surveys and/or construction staking for solar power projects at The GAP Distribution Center in Fresno, Grundfos Pump facility in Fresno, Sun Valley Packing facility in Reedley, UC Merced, Bakersfield College, at Vie-Del Winery in Fresno, and at multiple school sites in San Ramon.

Residential Tracts – Various cities and developers: responsible for all topographic surveys, research, boundary calculations, tract maps, and construction staking for numerous residential subdivisions totaling over 1500 finished lots in Madera and Fresno Counties.

City of Selma and 3MD Development – Industrial park projects, Selma: responsible for all topographic surveys, research, boundary calculations, and tract maps for multiple phases of 47 lot, 95 acre industrial park.

City of Fresno Surface Water Treatment Plant – managed construction staking for 23 acre project.

City of Clovis Corporation Yard – managed construction staking for 14 acre industrial project.

Love’s Travel Stop – Tulare: managed construction staking for 16 acre commercial project.

Local Wineries – Various sites: responsible for all topographic surveys, research, boundary calculations, and mapping for numerous projects; including projects at Canandaigua Winery’s Mission Bell facility in Madera, at Paul Masson’s facility in Madera, and at E&J Gallo’s facility in Fresno.

Street and Alley Reconstruction Projects – Various sites: compiled survey field data for engineering design and performed right-of-way engineering for multiple projects, consisting of over 20 miles of street and alley improvements in Selma, Kingsburg, Fowler, Chowchilla and other Central Valley cities.

Northpark Community Church – Fresno: performed all office-related surveying and mapping tasks, including a record of survey map and right-of-way dedication documents, for multiple phases of the 5 acre development.

AAA Baseball Stadium – Fresno: managed control surveys and construction staking for 12,500 seat, $46 million Chukchansi Park stadium project.
